Back to the roots: In 2005, TUNE IT! SAFE! unveiled the TECHART Coupé as the first symbol for safe and compliant automotive tuning and started an unprecedented success story. Exactly 16 years later, the initiative for safe tuning is once again presenting a true classic in police garb with the TECHART GT and, for the first time, a convertible. The new campaign vehicle of the initiative, which is supported by the Federal Ministry of Transport, the Association of Automobile Tuners (VDAT), premium tire manufacturer Hankook as well as many other partners, is celebrating its world exclusive premiere at the Essen Motor Show in Hall 7, Stand B27.
With the sporty TECHART GT, TUNE IT! SAFE! has chosen an eye-catching symbol to show that a lot is possible in automobile tuning without losing sight of the aspect of road safety and regulatory conformity. With the first convertible as the campaign vehicle, the focus is deliberately on aerodynamics, driving dynamics and interior. After all, the sports car already comes with plenty of power, dynamics and agility. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kph takes just 4.4 seconds. The 385 hp TECHART GT reaches its top speed at 289 kph.
However, this power is not put on the road, because the TUNE IT! SAFE! police vehicle is and remains a show car to promote safe and rule-compliant automotive tuning. The TECHART GT in its original police outfit will celebrate its world premiere at the start of the Preview Day of the Essen Motor Show on Friday, November 26, 2021, with the official unveiling at the VDAT-/TUNE IT! SAFE! joint stand in Hall 7, Stand B27 and can then be admired live at the Essen PS Festival until December 5, 2021. The official foil decor of the police used by FOLIATEC.com as well as the special signal system "Raptor+" and flashing beacons brought in by Hella will then ensure increased attention.
