FOLIATEC®.com foils the new BMW i8 Coupé of the initiative TUNE IT! SAFE!
Stripes on the bonnet have long been regarded as extremely sporty décor. Even cooler, however, is an entire patrol car, as the TUNE IT! SAFE! initiative proves every year anew. FOLIATEC®.com, the car accessories specialist from Nuremberg, has also participated again in the new campaign vehicle, which is currently being presented at the Essen Motor Show (1 to 9 December 2018) and will then go on tour through Germany. Once again, several renowned companies that stand behind the idea of safe, legal and responsible tuning participated in the BMW i8. However, the respective campaign vehicle only becomes a typical patrol car through the meticulous foiling by FOLIATEC®.com and the special signalling system.
Furthermore, the BMW i8 was equipped by the participating companies with an impressive aerodynamic kit, a sports suspension and 21-inch wheels with high-performance tyres. The combined drive system remained untouched, but even in standard condition it delivers up to 374 hp (275 kW), with maximum torque of 570 Nm.
With the product SECURLUX safety film, the specialists from FOLIATEC®.com also show that their products offer a lot of potential not only in terms of appearance. In this specific case, the side windows are protected against violence and splintering of the glass is prevented. This also significantly reduces the risk of injury in the event of an accident. This is also in the spirit of the campaign.
Since 2005, TUNE IT! SAFE! has been promoting safe tuning since 2005. Partners are, for example, the Federal Ministry of Transport, the Association of Automobile Tuners (VDAT), the police of North Rhine-Westphalia and companies from the automotive industry such as FOLIATEC®.com.
