Product information "Brake Caliper Lacquer Set"
With the Brake Caliper Lacquer and the Brake Caliper Lacquer NEON you give your vehicle a very individual and sporty look. It permanently seals and preserves the surface and is chemical, corrosion and oil resistant. It has a long-lasting gloss and is easy to clean. With the included basecoat our Brake Caliper Lacquer NEON displays an exceedingly intense luminosity.

Hint for our Brake Caliper Lacquer NEON colours: Due the different recipe, the white basecoat of the NEON colours requires a special Brake caliper lacquer thinner for basecoat (order number 2210).
The Brake Caliper Lacquer set includes:
- Brake cleaner, 400 ml and 125 ml paint as well as 50 ml hardener
- Steel brush, brush, spatula, 1 pair of disposable protective gloves
The Brake Caliper Lacquer NEON set includes:
- Brake cleaner (400 ml) + Basecoat (125 ml) + lacquer (125 ml) + hardener (50 ml)
- 1 steel brush, 2 brushes, 2 spatula, 1 pair of disposable protective gloves
Application:
- Remove wheels.
- Clean the brake caliper using the included steel brush and the included Brake Cleaner.
- Mask off all the parts except the brake caliper.
- Mix the brake caliper paint and the hardening agent with the spatula.
- For NEON colours:
Stir the white basecoat with the spatula and apply it with one of the brushes in several thin layers until the brake calipers are entirely covered in white.
Use the second spatula to mix the NEON brake caliper paint and the hardening agent. - Apply the brake caliper paint with the paintbrush.
- After painting the brake calipers let them dry, then put the wheel back in place, done.

⇒ One set is enough for four brake calipers or two brake calipers and two brake drums.
- How should I prepare the brake calipers for the painting?

⇒ Remove loose dirt particles or rust with a steel brush and degrease the brake calipers with the enclosed brake caliper cleaner.
- When is the painting dried?

⇒ After 2 hours the lacquer will be hardened enough to install your wheels again. The lacquer will be completely hardened approximately after five days.
- Can I repaint the brake calipers?

⇒ Yes, of course! Scrape off the old paint, to get the best adhesion.
- How robust is the lacquer?

⇒ The paint can take any mechanic, thermic and chemical strain of a serial braking system in the usual street traffic.

The Brake Caliper Lacquer Thinner is developed for our Brake Caliper Lacquer for optimal viscosity adjustment when used with a spray gun. The FOLIATEC.com Brake Caliper Lacquer must only be diluted with the FOLIATEC.com Brake Caliper Lacquer Thinner. All other thinner will damage the paint’s material structure or change the colour of the paint. The mixing ratio depends on the nozzle size of your spray gun. We recommend to add the thinner in 10ml-Steps until the paint is diluted enough to be sprayable.
