UNDERCOVER Brake Caliper Lacquer

This pockage contains:
1 Spraycan Brake cleaner 150 ml, 1 metal can Brake Caliper-Lacquer 90ml, special hardener 2x 15ml.
Additional items needed: Stirring-stick, mixing cup (no plastic cup), fine-hair paintbrush, masking tape, steel brush to clean surfaces, clean cotton cloth.
Attention: Open cans shortly before use. Use only in well ventilated areas.Working temperature between 59-70°F. Work in dust-free area.
1. Step Preparation
Removing of brake calipers or brake drums will not be nessecary. Remove wheels of vehicle. If you intend to paint the insides of your calipers, you may have to de-install the brake pads too.
Warning:
We are not liable, for any damage or injury, resulting out of failures to comply with these instructions. Brake caliper paint can absolutely not be used for brake discs,
brake pads or brake shoes. If the paint may come in contact with one of these parts, they have to be cleaned or changed immediately.
2. Step Cleaning
Use steel brush to remove rust residues. Clean surfaces from grease, dirt, oil and brake fluid with the brake cleaner. Thoroughly spray on brake aleaner again and leave it drying for approx. 5 min.
Note:The dust on brake parts may contain asbestos. Wear safety clothing. Ensure good ventilation is provided for.
3.Step Applying af the paint
a) Masking. Rubber parts on the caliper e. g. brake lines have to be coated with masking tape.The bleeder saew thread has to be masked too, otherwise it may not be able to be opened on your next service.
b) Mixing the components. Add the can of hardener to the paint. Mix it through carefully with the woodstick. (Put in no more than the amount you need for one step in the procedure) Leave it standing for 5 min and mix it again.
c) Applying of paint. Apply the paint now with a paintbrush in a thin, even coat. Avoid drops and tears. Leave it drying for o short time of 15 min and apply a second coatng.
d) Hardening. After approx. 2 hours the paint will be dry enough for you to re-mount your brake and wheels. Now your vehicle should not be moved for the next 24 h to enable the paint to reach the final hardness.
