1x LED Shift Light (5mm LED, light colour: red), 1x control unit with cigarette lighter connector, 1x set-up instructions, 2x doublesided adhesive tape, 2x crosshead screws 2.9 x 12mm
Items required for assembly:
Electric screwdriver, 2.0mm or 2,5mm metal drill bits for drilling the screw holes, crosshead screwdriver. Hexagon spanner (3 mm) - for removing the Shift Light from its bracket. Felt-tip pen for marking the screw holes.
Assembly instructions:
Before assembly read the instruction through completely - take your time when assembling the SHIFT Lights.
No warranty claims from incorrect assembly, polar reversal or tampering with components etc. Assemble in a sheltered area to avoid damage from external influences. Please ensure that cables are not squashed or bent and that they are protected from wear and tear.

Note for StVZO area: For interior lighting, §30 StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations) applies. In accordance with this, interior lighting may not impede the driver's view of the instruments.
If light shines outwards, it may not affect compulsory lighting and oncoming vehicles. Interior lighting should be placed so that no direct light shines outwards. Flashing lights are not permitted.
ASSEMBLY:
Select where you want to attach the Shift Light and the control unit. When doing so, please ensure that the driver's view is not impaired and position the cable along the shortest route to the intended location of the 2 way vent (e.g. on the centre console)
1) Cleaning the area where the light is to be applied
Ensure that the surface of the dashboard or steering wheel cover is clean and dry. For this, use a suitable liquid (e.g. methylated spirit or silicone removing spirit) to clean the surface of any grease.
2) Attaching the SHIFT Light
Remove the protective film from the doublesided adhesive pad and carefully push the light into position. If attaching the light with screws, unscrew the Shift Light from its mount and mark the position of the holes to be drilled using a felt pen. Drill the holes, ensuring that there is no damage to anything under the cover. Screw the fixture into place with the crosshead screws provided. Then reattach the Shift Light to the fixture.
3) Connection
Now connect the Shift Light with the control unit. Ensure that the polarity of the plug-in connector is correct. This audibly snaps into place.
4) Connecting the control unit.
Insert the control unit connector in the 12V cigarette lighter socket.
5) Micro fuse in the cigarette lighter connector
This connector is protected by a replaceable 6 Amp micro fuse. In the event of a defect, unscrew the tip of the 12V cigarette lighter connector and replace the micro fuse. Always replace the fuse with one of the same value.
Operating the SHIFT Light
1. Start the engine and turn on air conditioning if available.
2. Insert the 12V cigarette lighter connector.
3. Press the accelerator until the motor has reached the desired number of revs (for changing).
4. Keep this number of revs steady and adjust the button (Shift Point) until the Shift Light starts to flash.
To set the flashing, adjust the button (lamp) in the selected position.
Please note that in vehicles with air conditioning a rev number of 4000 rpm is intended for set up.
Please note:
This Shift Light is already preset ex works for most types of vehicle. If you have problems operating the Shift Light, you can adjust it using the trimmer on the back of the control unit. Use a small crosshead screwdriver for adjusting this. Please do not touch the trimmer while the device is switched on.
1. If the arrow on the receiver is pointing to the left, gradually turn the knob to the right.
2. If the arrow on the receiver is pointing to the right, gradually turn the knob to the left.
