Please read the instruction manual carefully before usage.
Caution: Some decors are equipped with a surface support foil that is removed after application. Please note, when using chrome flags or stripes on plastic surfaces, that some plastic materials contain release agents and softeners which can evaporate and thus affect the adhesive effect of the foil ( bubbling).
Additional tools and materials: Measuring tape, scissors, cutter, adhesive tape, water spraying bottle, water, silicon-remover, cotton cloth, liquid detergent.
1) The surface to be covered must be free of dust, dirt, or grease. If necessary, remove remaining cleaning or polishing materials (e.g., with silicon-remover).
2) Make the décor pieces fit, or measure them to fit. (Do not pull off the protective lamination sheet from the adhesive side at this point of the application process!)
2a. Flag: If the flag should be too big, individual segments can be cut off.
2b. Stripes: Spread stripes along the surface to be covered, and add an excess length of 2 cm
2c. RoofFlag: Place the first strip centered over the length of the roof of the car. The next strip is positioned one section over (a white surface is adjacent to a black one). Cut off the overlapping ends only when all strips have been positioned. Include an overlap of approximately 2 cm in your measurements.
2d. Flame: Cut out the foil along the wheel well contour. Include an extra 2 cm for overmeasure.
3) Moisten the surface to be glued with a mixture of liquid detergent and water (1/2 liter water, 5 drops liquid detergent). Adjust the décor foil with adhesive tape. Pull off the protective layer from the adhesive surface of the décor foil, place the foil onto the surface, and position it . Now again moisten the adhesive side of the decor, apply and position the decor. (In case of large pieces apply in two steps by pulling only half of the protective layer off). Cut out the areas not to be covered (e.g., locks, emblems, etc.) carefully with a cutter.
4) Wrap the enclosed application squeegee with a cotton cloth. Brush out moisture from under the décor pieces with the enclosed squeegee.
4a. Flag: Carefully pull off the carrier foil in a flat angle of approx. 180°. Brush out (moisture) again. Just brush in one direction! In doing so, press the edges hard onto the surface.
Note: Apply at a temperature of at least 15°C (60°F). Let it dry for approx. half a day. After approx. one week it is resistant to drive-in car-washing. Small air bubbles may be subsequently pierced with a needle. In doing so, brush out the air with a squeegee and press the décor foil hard onto the surface. The durability and resistance of the décor foil depends to a large extent on careful application. If the décor foil is not pressed hard enough onto the surface at the edges, water and dirt may infiltrate.
