MA-Pin-Striping-Set

Read the instructions carefully before use. Take time to create your design.

We recommend that you watch the video instructions available at product information before beginning. The video includes a lot of handy hints to make creating your design easier.

The pack contains: 1 container each (30 ml) of paint in red, blue and silver, 1 container (50 ml) of special paint thinner, brush, pipette.
You will also need: a mixing dish (e.g. clean container lid), silicone remover, spatula or stirrer, absorbent cloths, universal paint thinner for cleaning working materials, writing paper, pencil.

Instructions for use: Only open paint containers just before use and keep them closed when not in use. The temperature of the working environment  should be between 15 °C and 25 °C. Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation and a clean working environment.

1) Step - Preparation
Plan your design carefully. Do not try and create designs that are too large at first.
Hint: Draw the image with a pencil on a sheet of writing paper and transfer this onto the surface to be decorated (e.g. using carbon paper).*
If possible, remove the part of the object you want to work on. It will be easier to work with if it is placed on a work surface in front of you.

2) Step - Clean
Thoroughly clean the surface to be decorated using silicone remover to get rid of dirt and fatty residues. Clean the working materials with standard universal paint thinner before use.

3) Step - Mix paint
Use the pipette to remove a small quantity of special thinner and add this to your mixing bowl. Add an equal quantity of paint and mix the two.
Caution: The paint should not be too thin and must be easy to apply.

4) Step - Prepare brush
Completely immerse the brush in the paint. Wipe the brush on the edge of the container and squeeze lightly to remove any excess. Completely immerse the brush again. The right quantity of paint is on the brush when it is fully covered, but the bristles do not bend when the brush is positioned vertically (the brush bristles must 'stand up' and no drops form).

5) Step - Apply paint
Stir the paint well with a spatula or stirrer. HINT: We recommend that you do some 'dry practices' on a sheet of paper before starting on the surface to be decorated. Only start working on the actual design when you have a feel for how the brush moves.
Begin on the upper part of the design and draw the lines without using too much pressure. Rest your hand on the surface where possible to make  drawing the lines easier. The flattened side of the brush (with shorter bristles) should always face down towards the design.* If you want to work with several colours, leave the first colour to dry for ca. 10-15 minutes (depending on temperature and humidity) before beginning with the next.
When you use the pipette for extracting the special paint thinner and the paint, make sure that the pipette has been thoroughly cleaned with the universal thinner.
Thoroughly clean all working materials with standard universal paint thinner after use.
The paints can be mixed, so adding silver will create a metallic effect, for example.
