Mounting directions:
a) For vehicles with wireless or infrared remote (for the door opening mechanism)
b) For vehicles with door contact switch
Please read the installation instructions carefully prior to installing the LED SPOT=light kit! Take your time with the installation. Please contact your Car Audio Dealer or a qualified automotive accessory shop if you have questions regarding the wiring diagram or your vehicle or regarding the installation of your LED SPOT-light kit. Have the installation checked by an authorized shop. Make sure all cables are protected from chaffing or buckling!
• Take all installation and accessory parts out of the packaging and keep them outside of the installation area for now.
• Check the package content for completeness prior to starting with the installation. First, please check the proper function of the LED surface mounted reflector lamp as follows:
• Connect the plus cable (red) of the LED surface mounted reflector lamp to the positive pole of your car battery (red) or another suitable 12V power source.
• Now connect the grounding cable (black) of the LED surface mounted reflector lamp to the negative pole of your power source.
• The LED surface mounted reflector lamp lights up. Please note: These connections to the power source only serve test purposes. The connections should therefore be easy to disconnect!

Mounting aids:
Rechargeable drill / electric drill, metal drill bit (2 mm, for drilling the screw holes), Phillips screwdriver, cable ties, insulation tape, flat plug, shrinkdown plastic tubing
to a) (for vehicles with wireless or infrared remote)
Installation instructions
1) Dismantle the A-column moulding and interior light unit (roof lining) according to the instruction manual from the vehicle manufacturer.
2) Mount the LED installation reflector lamps in their mounting base. (Mount in the following sequence: reflector lamp – rubber seal – mounting base – washer disc – nut). Make sure to only tighten the plastic nut "by hand” (danger of breaking).
3) Temporarily connect the connection cables of the individual LED installation reflector lamps (4 each per vehicle side) with each other according the diagram included in the package.
4) Position the LED surface mounted reflector lamp and thereby determine the distance of the individual LED surface mounted reflector lamp to each other according to the vehicle sillboard length. Make sure that the installation angle is horizontal to the vehicle floor (floor panel). Compensate possibly existing unevenness in the floor panel by placing disc washers underneath. Mark the necessary bore holes for fastening the surface mounted reflected lamp at the installation position. Make sure that there is a sufficient distance to the brake or fuel lines - so that they cannot be damaged during installation.
5) Drill the marked screw holes.
6) Screw the LED surface mounted reflector lamps on the "prepared" positions. Open the temporary cable connections of the installation reflector lamps from each other and push a shrinkdown plastic tubing over each cable connection. Now reconnect the connection cables with each other. Start with the LED installation reflector lamp that is the farthest from the power source. Heat up the shrinkdown plastic tubing until the connection area is enclosed securely and waterproof. Repeat this installation step with each LED illumination unit.
Make sure that the connection cables are not slack and are not crimped nor buckled and must be protected from chaffing (danger of short circuit).
7) Lead the main connecting cable (red-black) along the shortest way to the vehicle interior. Run the red connection cable of the LED Down- Light-kit to the fuse box of your vehicle and connect there to steady load (terminal 15). Run the black connection cable along the Acolumn and on to free-hanging interior lighting support.
Caution: Do not pull on the connection cables during their installation. Make sure that the connection cables are not crimped or buckled and are protected from chaffing (danger of short circuit).
8) Connect the black cable of the LED SPOT-light kit to the dimmer mpulse leading connection cable (usually brown) of the interior lamp.
9) Make sure the cable connections are permanently protected from short circuits (use shrinkdown plastic tubing).
10) Disconnect the grounding cable (usually black) of the interior lamp from the interior lamp (without function) and protect permanently from short circuits.
11) Test the correct function:
• Door key signal on > SPOT-light kit + interior lamp on
• Door is opened > SPOT-light kit + interior lamp on
• Door is closed > dimmer function used: The SPOT-light kit + interior lamp is slowly extinguished
• Engine is started > dimmer function used: The SPOT-light kit + interior lamp is slowly extinguished
• Engine running > no function of SPOT-light kit + interior lamp
12) Subsequently reattach the mouldings of the vehicle according to the operating manual
to b) (for vehicles with door contact switch)
Installation instructions
1) Dismantle the lower A-column moulding (interior moulding underneath the dashboard) according to the operating manual of the vehicle manufacturer to access the door contact switch of the interior lighting.

Run the black connection cable of the LED SPOTlight kit to the door contact switch and connect to the door contact switch (ground) of the interior lighting.

8) Test the correct function:
• Door is opened > SPOT-light kit + interior lamp on
• Door is closed > SPOT-light kit + interior lamp not on
9) Subsequently reattach the mouldings of the vehicle according to the operating manual.
For the colour version white as entrance lighting the following is applicable:
Upon completion of the LED SPOT-light kit installation it is necessary to undergo an immediate modification inspection through an officially recognized expert or examiner of an authorized technical inspection station. (The undertaken modifications will otherwise invalidate the operating instructions of the vehicle!)
Technical notes:
• See Technical Control Board - requirements / product certification (only as entry illumination) all other use is prohibited according to the motor vehicle construction and use regulation.
• Activation of the LED SPOT-light kit while driving is prohibited (motor vehicle construction and use regulation).
• Have the installation checked by a qualified automotive shop.
• Warranty claims involving reverse pole connection, manipulation, improper application etc. will not be honoured.
• Tighten the fastening screws of the LED installed reflective lamp at regular intervals to assure a secure fit.
