Please read the instruction manual carefully before usage.
Additional tools needed: Ruler, Scissors, Soft cloth, Heat gun
1) Cutting
Lay the EXTERIOR Design Film on the part to be covered and cut along the edges using the razor knife, leaving approx. 1 inch extra.
2) Pulling off tracing paper
After thoroughly cleaning the surface to be covered, peel off the tracing paper from the EXTERIOR Design Film.
Attention: Do not use thinner for cleaning.
3) Applying
Apply the Design film to desired panel, starting on a straight, flat surface by pressing it with a soft cloth from the centre to the edges.
4) Heating up
By using the heat gun carefully warm up the film and gently pull out any wrinkles or bubbles which may have appeared during applying.
Attention: Do not overheat the film.
5) Trimming
Cut along the edges of the panel with razor knife. As far as possible do the cut on not visible areas.
Important application note:
Pull the film completely around corners and edges to avoid shrinkage due to cooling.
6) Removing of excess film
Simply pull off the excess and seal the edges by heating up the film once more.
Note: Modern plastics may contain parting agents and softeners which, due to high surrounding temperatures (e.g. long sun exposure), evaporate and can cause a lifting of the film. Adhesion problems caused by unsuitable surfaces can not be covered by warranty.
