Tools needed for installation:
Rechargeable drill, metal drill bit 2.0 mm or max. 2.5 mm for drilling the screw holes, cutting knife, scissors or side cutting pliers for cutting the pressure hose to size, Phillips screwdriver.

Installation Note:
Read the entire instructions prior to installation. Take your time with the installation of the “FOLIATEC® ATOMIZER-kit“.
As a rule, keep the length of the pressure hose as short as possible. Make sure the plastic pressure hose is kept away from sources of
heat (exhaust system, heater etc..).
All hoses must be cut straight and vertical when cutting the length to size.
The pressure hoses are inserted in the plug connections without force and lock in place themselves. To release the plug connections, press the
“blue release ring” and pull the hose out. Please do not use force here, so as not to damage the parts.
If you still have questions regarding installation, please contact our product technology department: techsupport@foliatec.de, Tel: +49/(0)911/97544-120.

1) Running the pressure hose from the spare tire to the 2-way valve
The spare tire serves as reservoir for the compressed air of the ATOMIZER-kit.
Fasten the pressure hose with the tire valve connector to the valve of the spare tire and run the pressure hose at the shortest distance to the designated mounting position of the 2- way valve (e.g. center console).
Fasten the 2-way valve with the hose clamps included.
Cut the pressure hose to the required length and secure in place at the “input” of the 2-way valve. Make sure that the pressure hose is not subject to tension when installing and that an extra hose length of approximately 2 cm must be taken into consideration for the removal of the spare tire for refilling.
Use the included hose clamps to fasten the pressure hose (compare with diagram).

2) Running the pressure hose from the 2-way valve to the windshield washer tank (compare with diagram)
Fasten one end of the hose to the free connection (output) of the 2-way valve and lead it through the vehicle interior into the engine compartment. Please use the lead-in duct for the electrical wiring (usually found in the vicinity
of the fuse box / dashboard).
Cut the pressure hose after running it to the immediate vicinity of the water tank for the washer/wiper system and attach the Y-plug connector according to the diagram.

Note:
Should your vehicle have a rear wiper/washer system, you can use the existing hose pipe of the rear washer:
If you no longer need the rear washer function, you can disconnect this hose line with the corresponding hose length and render it inoperable.
If you do not want to do without the rear washer function (as is the case for vehicles without rear wiper/washer system) then a suitable T-connector must be installed in the wiper/washer line coming from the water tank pump.
Should the original hose have an exterior diameter greater than 6 mm or an interior diameter greater than 4 mm, then it is necessary to install additional corresponding bushing adaptors (hose wholesaler / automobile
accessories).
Now you can construct the required hose connection from the wiper/washer tank to the Y-connector already installed (see diagram).
Cut the pressure hose or, as the case may be, the original wiper/washer hose line approximately 10 cm (4 inches) from the Y-connector and install the back pressure valve included.
Take note of the correct flow direction (see designation on back pressure valve) to avoid compressed air flowing into the water tank during operation of the ATOMIZER.
Use the included cable ties to fasten the hoses.
Make sure that the pressure hose is not subject to tension when installing.

3) Connecting the two Y-plug connections
Connect both Y-connections with a pressure hose (approx. 10 cm / 4 inches long).
Install the second Y-connector according to the diagram.

4) Connection of the spray nozzles
Now connect a pressure hose to the outlets of the second Y-connector and run the pressure hose to the designated installation site of the spray nozzles (front spoiler or under the wheel well for example).
IMPORTANT:
Both hoses must be of the same length so that the pressure can be released equally!
Connect the respective pressure hose to the spray nozzle and fasten the spray nozzle with the included hose clamps.

TIP:
The direction of the outlet nozzles should be pointed up at an angle!!!

5) Starting operation of the ATOMIZER-Kit
a) Fill the spare tire with air (gas station for examples), 3.5 bar for 16” tires, 4.5 bar for 18” tires as reference. Please note the maximum allowed pressure of the spare tire as stated on the outside rim of the tire. Do not exceed this maximum pressure so as to avoid a blowout of the tire. (Caution: Danger of injury) Make sure that the stop valve of the 2-way valve is closed.
b) Connection of the tire valve to the installed ATOMIZER-kit pipeline system.
c) The pipeline system is filled with water by actuating the toggle switch of the washer/ wiper function three to four times.
d) The short-time opening of the stop valve of the 2-way valve causes the water spray to be ejected from the nozzles in nebulized form. (Similar to the release of excess pressure in an original NOS system.)

Professional tip to optimize the FOLIATEC® ATOMIZER-kit
An air intake water jet with a CO2 gas bottle can be used for the FOLIATEC® ATOMIZER-kit instead of the compressed air from the spare
tire. In this case, the pressure hose connected to the tire valve is hooked up to the pressure hose of the CO2 bottle connection. Prior to starting operation of the CO2 bottle, make sure that all plug connections have a
secure fit (operating pressure is approximately 8 to 10 bar) and that the stop valve of the 2-way valve is in the open position.
This mode of function is the same as described above in point 5 (start of operation) - except for the ommission of refilling the spare tire and opening the 2-way valve. The release of the compressed air now takes place using the lever (trigger) of the cutoff device.
The spray nozzles are not installed for this application due to the high pressure!

Important:
The use of the FOLIATEC® ATOMIZER kit with a CO2 gas bottle is not permitted according to German Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards
(possession of compressed air container in a vehicle).

Outside of the Federal Republic of Germany:
Please take the country specific vehicle safety standards into consideration.

The FOLIA TEC® ATOMIZER-kit is only intended for exhibition and show purposes. Do not use in regular street traffic.

Warranty claims are voided with improper installation or manipulation of components etc..
Do not use larger gas bottles or gas bottles with more pressure than commercially available to produce an air intake water jet.

Replace empty gas bottles with corresponding refills from appropriate vendors or supermarkets.
