Types of film
You can choose between 2 types of film from our range:
a) PVC film – colourless, transparent, lightfast
(Material thickness: 100 µ = 0.1mm; 3-year material guarantee)
Advantages:
- conservation of value of the paint
- protection against abrasion
b) PU film
- colourless, highly transparent, very shock-resistant and tough
(Material thickness: 150 µ = 0.15mm; 5-year material guarantee)
Advantages:
- conservation of value of the paint
- protection against stones and scratches
- durable
- easy application due to elastic construction of material
PVC film
colourless, anti-abrasive
calandered poly-plasticised film
Film thickness: 100 µ
Adhesive thickness: 18 µ
Type of adhesive: highly transparent acrylate adhesive (removable)
Adhesive strength: > 30 N/mm²
Stretchability: 150%
Application temperature: + 12 °C to + 25 °C
Temperature range: – 20 °C to + 90 °C
Life expectancy: approx. 5 years (in a central-European climate)
Flammability: flame resistant, self-extinguishing
Other features:
weather and UV-resistant, removable without leaving traces, retains its shape, petrol and oil-resistant
PU film
highly elastic, non-yellowing polyurethane film
The stretchable and self-adhesive film material can be applied relatively effortlessly, even by “non-pros”. The PU film is an extremely flexible and stretchable PAINT protection film which is highly adaptive. Thanks to its physical stretchability of almost 400% it is excellently suited to 3D application. This allows for application on very complex contours, for example on round and curved surfaces such as mirrors, mudguards/wheel coverings, tanks, casing. A further outstanding feature of the PU film is its good covering properties when applying to edges and corners.
