New opportunities in the "land of smiles"

FOLIATEC®.com expands into Asia – first stop China

China entices visitors with tourist attractions such as historical structures like the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China or ultra-modern cities like Shanghai. But furthermore the "land of smiles“ also offers enormous economic opportunities and prospects for sensible investments, which is why internationally active companies are investing more and more capital in China. FOLIATEC®.com recognised the signs of the times long ago.

As a result the German company is cooperating with a Chinese company, Musicson Technology Ltd. from Shanghai, in its core business of automotive window and bodywork films. "China is a large and important market. Products ‘Made in Germany’ are highly valued there", says Michael Scherzer, Sales Manager of FOLIATEC®.com, explaining this logical step. Products are often presented on site in connection with other German quality brands. This goes down particularly well with the end customers, who get extensive information at the respective stands of appropriate trade fairs.

This year FOLIATEC®.com will again be actively represented in China – at the Beijing Car Parts Show in the middle of March as well as at the Zhengzhou Car Accessories Show at the end of June. A few sample books have been created with automobile window and bodywork films for the partner from Shanghai that will be exhibiting at these trade fairs, to allow them to provide an overview of the new product program in advance. In addition the sales partner is represented all over China – meaning that a large number of end customers can be reached. But China is just the beginning of the planned expansion into Asia; the company is already active in Korea: “Other countries such as Korea or Japan are important markets for vehicle accessories. In the medium-term we will approach them even more aggressively,” says Michael Scherzer, providing an outlook for the near future.
